One big collection
Stamford student Michael Kundin, 16, whose family’s collection of souvenir plates so large that it has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records, shared his collection recently at The Canaan Ridge School in North Stamford, where his sister Victoria is a student.
A student at the Kent School in Kent, Kundin shared a selection of his family’s collection, which consists of 1004 plates from all over the world, including 200 from around the United States, giving the students a mini world tour.
What started as Kundin’s father’s hobby has now been taken up by Michael’s mom, Irene, and his older brother Andrew, 21. Their collection made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2012.
